A Family Home Agency certifies families in the community as Family Home Providers to provide care for up to two adults (Individuals) with developmental disabilities in their homes. This enables Individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to share in the interaction and responsibilities of being part of a family. They receive the necessary services and supports from the family, agencies, and the community to enable them to become a participating member of the family and the community. The family home living arrangement allows the sharing of food, shelter, experience, responsibilities, and love. It allows adults with developmental disabilities to enter into partnerships with families that promote self-determination and interdependence.
Enriching Lives is an Adult Family Home Agency providing adults (Individuals) with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in the community by matching them with Family Home Providers who are able to give them a supportive environment of care and supervision and whose skill sets and lifestyle meet their needs.
Enriching Lives provides a flexible living option designed according to the specific needs and preferences of each Individual and is an alternative to living with family, independently, in a residential home, or in a developmental center.
Enriching Lives certifies individuals and families in the community as Family Home Providers. Family Home Providers come from all different backgrounds and skill sets and receive a stipend to provide care and support for Individuals in their own homes.

A Family Home Agency recruits, educates, approves, and monitors family homes as well as provides ongoing support to Family Home Providers. Social service staff employed by the Family Home Agency makes regular visits to the family home to ensure that necessary services and supports are in place and that the match between the family and their new family member continues to be viable.
