Family Home Providers

Enriching Lives is looking for caring and skilled individuals and families in the community who are interested in becoming Family Home Providers.

Family Home Providers come from all different ethnic backgrounds, skills sets, education levels, neighborhood settings and family constellations.  Becoming a Family Home Provider will enrich both your life and the lives of those you serve as you make an Individual a part of your family and community and assist them in reaching the goals they establish in their Individual Service Plan.

Family Home Providers receive a competitive stipend and ongoing support from the Enriching Lives staff and the Individual's multidisciplinary planning team which includes their Regional Center Representative, School/Day/Work Program Representative, Consultants, Medical Professionals, Family Members, and other people chosen by the Individual.

Certification Process

As a Provider, you will become certified through Enriching Lives and under state regulations to provide care and support to Individuals in your own home.  Enriching Lives will support and assist you through the certification process to become a Family Home Provider for adults.  The process usually takes between 4-8 weeks.  Certification requirements include a series of applicable continuing education requirements, criminal background checks, home study, medical exams, interviews and reference checks.

Experience as a caregiver, mental health worker, CNA, or RN is helpful, but not necessary.  Enriching Lives offers opportunities for Family Home Providers to expand their skill sets to meet the needs of the individuals served.
